This photo shows a rock in the middle of a very bad dirt road on the Colorado Plateau. The lines on the rock are where previously driven vehicles have scrapped on the rock. The rock is not going to move anywhere but the metal on the bottom of your car might be left here on this rock. Usually, when I see something like this I am critical of the driving ability of those who went before me. Most of the time, I can avoid hitting a rock like this. In this case, we got out and walked the rest of the way to our objective on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.
