The exposure of the cliffs on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon are truly awe inspiring. At this point, the Canyon is more than a mile deep and the cliffs drop off by the thousands of feet. It is truly amazing with all the visitors to the Canyon, that more people don't fall. I often wonder what it would take to explore the entire Canyon. But then I have read the exploits of Harvey Butchart who hiked over 12,000 miles inside the Canyon and I know I have already chosen not to do all that.
