An Unnamed Canyon
This is probably one of the most spectacular, least visited spots on the planet outside of Antarctica. Let's keep it that way! Not every beautiful spot on the earth needs protected status, some wild places need to exist outside of national parks. Many wild areas would never have been developed and had millions of visitors if they had never been designated as national monuments and parks. Now before you go ballistic. I am not advocating any change. Many areas presently in National Parks would have been destroyed were it not for some level of protection. Let's just not automatically make a public park out of every wild spot left in the country. I know several canyons, accessible by a normal automobile instead of 4-wheel drive off-road vehicles, that I would consider candidates for National Monument or Park Status and yet are unprotected and relatively unvisited.
