The lovely cactus wren or
Campylorhynchus brunneicapillus is a common visitor in our desert Southwest. These lively little birds are associated with the warm and sunny deserts along our southern border with Mexico and deep into Mexico itself. It is the largest of the North American wrens and is a bold forager for food. I caught a picture of this one taking french fries out of a large garbage container.
