Jeddito Black-on-Yellow Pottery Bowl

This is a type of ancient Pueblo/Hopi pottery known as Jeddito Black-on-Yellow. It dates back to, at least, 1350 A.D. and is associated with the Pueblo IV to Historic periods. The Black paint is composed of iron-manganese with iron-oxide pigments. The skill in executing this type of pottery was extremely high. This type of design seems to resonate with my spirit, maybe because it is to familiar to me.
