Wet Beaver Creek Canyon

Some of the Arizona place names don't seem to make much sense. Wet Beaver Creek is one of those names. It might help to know that there is also a Dry Beaver Creek, but maybe not. I don't think this has anything to do with either wet or dry beavers, it has to do with the creeks. But if Dry Beaver Creek is dry then how can it have beavers? So why is there a Wet Beaver Creek? Because it has water in it all year round. I think you can see my point.
