Across the Wide Mississippi

I haven't ever had the opportunity to spend much time on or near the Mississippi River. I am usually just crossing it going east or west. But I did get to ride a river boat once and I have had the opportunity to walk along the bank and take a few pictures. Rivers are a fascination to those of us who don't see them regularly and live in a place where the rivers are dry beds almost all year round.
