In the brush

This is an adult female Great-tailed Grackle or Quiscalus mexicanus. We call them "gang birds" because they congregate in large flocks and seem very aggressive. They are noisy and land on our roof or in our front yard. It is unusual to see one perched in a tree or bush by itself.
