Calcium Carbonate in Basalt

One lesson I have learned from walking in Arizona and the desert is that until you learn about something, you do not see it. I have walked by this type of rock and never seen it. What I mean by that is that I didn't know what it was and it was just another rock. When I found out that this was calcium carbonate that had formed little bubbles in the molten basalt, I finally "saw" the rock.
