The altitude changes in the Grand Canyon are so great, you can have different weather depending on the altitude. You can see this clearly with cloud layers and fog in the Canyon. It can be an interesting experience to find that your freezing weather on the Rim has changed to 100 degree plus temperatures in the bottom of the Canyon.
