We're approaching the time of year when we can start to get back out into the desert for hikes and sightseeing. In the background of this picture is the famous Superstition Mountains Anvil as seen from most of the east side of the Salt River Valley. But this is a view from the north along the First Water Trail. It gives you an idea of how rugged and difficult this part of Arizona really is.
