On a day when there was a lot of fog and the Canyon was filled with clouds, it was only in the late afternoon that the sun broke through the overcast and began to highlight the colors in the Grand Canyon. In the background, you can still see a bank of clouds that are snaking through the Canyon, but mostly the air has cleared and the clouds are breaking up to show the sky.
