European Starling

The European Starling or Stumus vulgaris is a very common bird in many parts of the world. Arizona is no exception. Its plumage has seasonal changes from dark brown to speckled in the Winter. It was among the first birds to be classified by Linnaeus in 1758. This one is sitting on a Cadon cactus.
