This shot continues the series of photos showing birds utilizing saguaro plants for perches and nesting locations. They peck out holes in the sides of the saguaro and the plant then calluses over the hole and forms a convenient pocket for a nest or a protected resting spot.
What type of bird is this? We have rescued a bird 2 years ago that looks exactly like this bird. Please help me identify. Thank you
