I love poppies. But they don't last very long in the desert. These are not the common desert variety that we see sometimes in the Spring, depending on the rainfall levels in October through the end of the year, but a more civilized, garden-type flower. If you can get them to bloom in the desert, the flowers last only a few days and then are gone for another year.
