The Desert View Tower at the Grand Canyon was constructed during a different time in our history, with different sensibilities. Here we can see a large rock, covered with petroglyphs, incorporated into the construction. This would be highly illegal today and would not be allowed by the Park Service or any other government agency. But that was another day and another time. Notice the change in the rocks to make a frame for the petroglyphs.
